“When I started counting my blessings, my whole life turned around.” Willie Nelson
My entire life changed the day I decided not to waste a single moment feeling sorry for myself. I decided instead to find something… anything… for which to be grateful. Even on my worst days, I would start small but would force myself to find at least 3 things to be thankful for. My toes, my eyesight, my son’s smile and giggle, good hair days, chocolate, laughing with friends, having an amazing boyfriend, family and friends who put up with my sorry a##. Yes, I swore a bit but still, you get the point. Once I got started, it became easier and easier to find things I was most grateful for. The lesson here is no matter how tough it can get, count your blessings as it could always be worse. Before you know it, that positivity will become infectious and carry over to every aspect of your life. Like a drop of ink in water, let it spread one drop at a time.
